Luci McMichael Associate Teaching Professor, Art Education

Lucí Maurício-McMichael is Associate Teaching Professor at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She has been a faculty member in the Art and Art History Department at UMSL since 1993. She teaches art education courses as well as studio courses. Prior to coming to UMSL, Lucí taught art and art education courses at the St. Louis Community College-Meramec for 15 years. 

Lucí received her MFA in sculpture from Fontbonne University-St. Louis, Missouri; completed her MAT in 1987 and received a Post Master Certification in Aesthetic in 1988 both from Webster University-St.Louis, Missouri. She earned her BFA in sculpture from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1974; She holds an Art Certificate K-12 (1985) from the Missouri State Board of Education. 

An active artist, Lucí exhibits her sculptural and mixed media (textile, porcelain, paper and bronze) in solo, group and invitational exhibits in galleries and museums through out the United States.
